Popsicle Time

Zoo Class - 9/28/12

We had our second zoo class and i am happy to report it was SO much better than the first!!  Brooke enjoyed the book that the teacher read.  We had two animals to touch, a hedgehog and a turtle.  Brooke didn't touch them, but she was interested in seeing them!  We rode the carousel and she picked the zebra and LOVED it!  We went to see some animals and ended the class with feeding the lorikeets.  Brooke held the cup for a moment and then i held it.  Clearly, Brooke gets her dislike of animals honestly.... As i was holding the cup, two birds on my arm started fighting and i thought i was going to have a panic attack.  Then another one landed on my shoulder and i as in full panic mode.  I had to remember that i was holding Brooke!  I looked at one of the zoo workers and told her that she needed to get these birds off of me before i had a full on panic attack.  She laughed and said at least you didn't scream!!  haha.. we enjoyed watching after that!  A successful zoo class for sure! 

Love these two!

My kids LOVE each other so much!!  I am sure it will change, and trust me they have their moments when they aren't getting along!!  Brooke thinks she is 5 and should be able to do everything Graham does... She loves anything that belongs to him.... Tonight they had a few minutes before bath time.  I thought something was up when they got quiet, but turns out they were just resting in their chairs.  Brooke has on Graham's flip flops..  They are so cute!

New Bat

Kong Kong (the original Graham Steel) bought Graham a new bat.  We are so excited and can't wait to use it at our game this weekend.

Outside Fun

What a fun week we have had playing outside!!  The weather is pretty nice, a little hot in the sun.  The kids are having a great time playing as you will see in the pictures.

First Baseball game = Fall 2012

Graham had his first baseball game of the season.  He looks so cute!!  He did so good and his coach said he is a natural athlete.  Thanks goodness with his non athletic mommy!!

Shelby County Fair

Saturday night, we were looking for something fun to do...  I gave Graham the choice of going to the fair or to the movies.  He chose the fair!!  We had fun!  Graham was more interested in the games and winning prizes than riding rides!  Brooke and Mom preferred to watch a rat run around a roulette wheel thingy????  I wish i would have taken a picture of that!!

McWane Picnic

Brooke and James are finding their way now that their big brothers are in school 5 days a week!  Here they are having a picnic at the McWane Science Center.

Fun with Friends

Graham wanted to invite his friend, Luke, over to play today.   They had lots of fun on the zipline, trampoline, and golfcart. 

Movie Night

We had a very busy week.. so we decided to have a laid back Saturday night.  I told Graham that after dinner we could watch a movie and pop popcorn.  He invited his friend, Cooper, over.  They chose to watch 2 episodes of their favorite cartoon instead of a movie.  They really did watch the whole thing.  They didn't last long laying down in the floor, but i did have to get a picture!!

Brooke's first zoo class

Brooke had her first class at the zoo today.  She is not a huge fan of animals, but she does like to look from afar!!  Today they brought out a gecko (lizard) and a rat!!  We didn't pet either one.  Then we got to feed the chickens mealworms, well we didn't, but we watched.  We then fed the fish, which i did and Brooke watched!!  Then we rode the carousel.... well I stood on the carousel holding Brooke, she refused to sit on the fake animals???  I only got pictures of her in the room working on her craft.  She wanted me to hold her the whole time!!  Hopefully,  the next class we will participate more!!!

My Handsome Lunch Date

I volunteered at the school today and got to have lunch with Graham.  He was so cute and helpful.  He told me where to go to get my lunch and what to do.  I am so proud of him. 

Enjoying the weather

We have had some pretty great weather.  It has been in the 70's and low 80's.  This is my favorite time of year.  We all love to play outside and have friends over!  Here are some pics of the kids playing with friends.

Fair

Graham was invited to go to the fair with our neighbors.  Cooper and Graham have so much fun together.  They rode every ride and had cotton candy!  They had so much fun.  Graham wouldn't let me cut his wristband off for 5 days!!!

My sweet Auburn Tigers....  We may have a rough football season ahead, but at least Graham and Brooke will be cute in their orange and blue!!
