Graham's Thanksgiving Feast

Graham had his Thanksgiving Feast today at school.  Thanks to Maeghen for coming at staying with Brooke so i could go!!!!  We had 4 stations in his classroom.  1) Making cranberry relish (my station), 2)  Homemade butter 3) Corn Pancakes 4) Turkey Oreo Cookies.  The kids wore their shirts we painted last week, their noodle necklace, and their hats.  They looked so cute.  I am so glad i am able to help out and be a part of his kindergarten experience.  And as you can see, Brooke couldn't wait to try on Graham's indian outfit!

Sick

We had our Thanksgiving Program at school today.  Brooke did so good at practice, i couldn't wait to watch her during the real thing... Unfortunely, as i was walking my class out of the room, Brooke was at the office.  They said her temperature was 99.1 and you could tell she wasn't feeling well.  I wasn't really sure what to do, so i just grabbed her and told them i would take her on stage with my class.  Her class was on the row below ours, so i knew it wouldn't be an issue.  Sadly, she rested on me the whole time, i thought she was going to feel asleep.  We left school as soon as i could because i could tell her fever was rising.  As soon as i put her in the car she fell asleep.  Poor baby girl.  I got her home, gave her medicine, and put her down for a nap.  She woke up later feeling great.  She woke up this morning feeling good, but ran a fever at naptime.  Hoping she feels better soon!  So no picture this year of her thanksgiving program!

Reading

I am so happy that both kids like books.  Graham has started reading to Brooke.  It is so cute.

Drive-in

Graham's baseball team had their end of the season party at the drive-in.  We watched Wreck it Ralph.  It was pretty cold, but i brought 3 pillows and 5 blankets.  We had pizza and popcorn and piled in the back of my SUV.  We had a great time.  Brooke did pretty good, she lasted for most of the movie.  Then, she wanted in her seat and played with my phone.  Graham had a great time in fall ball and received a trophy.

McWane Science Center

Graham was out of school on Monday, so we decided to go to the McWane Science Center.  We had lots of fun and got to play on all 4 levels.  Graham's favorite was touching the sharks.  Brooke was excited to have her brother with her.

Zoo with the family

We went to the zoo with the family... Mom, Tami, Maeghen, Landon, and Kenley met us there.  We had lots of fun seeing ALL the animals.  It has been a long time since i have walked the zoo in one visit.  We had fun feeding the giraffes and the birds.  The weather was beautiful!

Friday nights

My Friday nights have changed since becoming a mom!  I wouldn't have it any other way.  I love hanging out with my silly kids!

Brooke and James

These two are best friends, just like their big brothers.  They have really enjoyed hanging out every week!!  They are so funny together.  They were watching a movie and we had to snap a picture.

Zoo Class #5

This week we saw Needles, the hedgehog, and an Egyptian Turtle.  Brooke said she was going to touch each one, until it was time!!  We had  a good time and made some paws as our craft.  We rode the carousel and then went to visit the predators section!  Brooke loved to see the mommy, daddy, and baby lions.  The tiger did some roaring for us!!  We had so much fun, that we are heading back tomorrow with more family.  Graham has been begging, so he will be very excited!

Turkey

Our homework this week was to diguise a turkey so that it wouldn't be eaten for Thanksgiving.  We have been reading the Magic Tree House Books and recently finished the pirate book.  Graham decided to diguise his turkey as a pirate and did a great job!

Basketball evaluations

We signed Graham up for Basketball tonight.  He is super excited because his best friend, John, will be playing!  They had evaluations tonight.  I was a little worried about this, but luckily Graham did pretty good.  I want Graham to try all sports.  He seems to love to learn and is athletic.   We start practice after Thanksgiving and games will begin after the beginning of the year.

Character Leader of the Week

Graham was chosen by his guidance counselor to be the character leader of the week for cooperation.  His picture is on the wall in the school.  So proud of him!

Notes

Graham wrote me a note Sunday night!!  It was pretty funny at the time and of course Iain thought it was the funniest thing he has ever read!!

 It says I love my mom even if my mom is mean. 

I have had a shortage in patience with him lately, but am working on it!!!  Today was MUCH better for both of us!!  His note tonight was much better!!

Kenley's 2nd Birthday Party

We went to Kenley's 2nd Birthday Party on Saturday.  Brooke has really gotten into loving Minnie Mouse, so she had a ball.  Graham made her a birthday card for Kenley.  I thought he did a GREAT job!

Disney on Ice

We went to Disney on Ice on Thursday.  This was Brooke's first time.  Graham loved it and so did Brooke.  Graham's favorite was the Incredibles and Brooke's favorite were Cinderella and the Mouse!  Fun times!

Halloween 2012

Halloween is always a fun, but exhausting night!  We usually go with a group of neighbors and friends that we don't get to see much anymore!  Graham loves to see his friend Luke.  We enjoyed hanging out with everyone!!  Graham was more into trick or treating than he has been before!  This was Brooke's first year to participate.  This time last year, she was just learning to walk!  This year she walked some with Graham, but would get a little overwhelmed.  Graham would take her treat bag for her and get candy when she was resting.  When we got near the house, Brooke got her bag and went to the doors like a pro.  We had lots of fun!!!  If you couldn't tell, Graham was Luigi (from Super Mario Brothers) and Brooke was Cinderella!
